Good morning XtrGamer and welcome to CH

In short answer yes unless you save it / back it up before hand.

What OS are you going to be going from and too?

Are you buying a upgrade doing a fresh install what are you going to do
Please explain EXACTLY what it is you want / intend to do.

Please explain what you want or are going to attempt to do. The windows 7 that you want to move up to is a disk from OEM manufacture or are this going to be a upgrade and is it going to be the same version like you are going from windows home premium 7 32bit to windows7 64 bit home premium etc.

Please try to be as detailed as possible so you can help you, Mike

      From Microsoft:

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7)

Forget about beta keys is there any specific hardware setting required to run a 64 bit OS system? Will I be able to run it with what I have?

            If it's a 64 bit processor, yes.

Good evening XtrGamer and welcome back

Yes that CPU is OK to use on Windows 7 64 bit. You can use this link to see if your hardware / software is approved to use with Windows 7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

              Hope this helps, Mike
