My muddled Sharing and Security values are causing me to have read-only access to a folder when accessed over a network.

How can I restore these to their default values, and/or determine the source of the problem? Is there a definitive guide for debugging/fixing these types of problems?

Finally, after changing Security values on a network shared folder, must all computers on the network be restarted, or is there a lower level resetting procedure I can utilize?

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide,

    John L.
