    RealTek WiFi Adapter problems
    « on: October 11, 2012, 09:03:16 PM »
    Hi there!

I'm new to this and need some help.  I purchased an HP laptop just over a year ago and have been having issues with the wifi adapter for the past month.  I use Windows 7 and keep getting this message:

"The Realtek RTL8188 CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware- related problems."

It will not allow me to connect at all via wifi.  I try to troubleshoot and get the same message.  Sometimes, I can restart the laptop and it will work for short amount of time.  If I linger on a page for too long, the yellow attention/exclamation point shows up over the icon for my wifi.  When I try to troubleshoot, I get the above message.

Does anyone have any advice for me?  I'm not very tech-y so any help would be appreciated!

Please try reinstalling your wifi adapter from HP support site. Look for the model and exact OS you are currently using.
Download MiniToolBox and select all options.
A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.

    Any changes before this happen?
