How to change DEFAULT ICON for Windows 8

Hi!

I was long time user of WinXP...

Now I began wok with Win8...

I want to change DEFAULT ICON for not yet associated files and files without extension like I had it in WinXP...

I don't want to use any customizers, TuneUp or other programs, better is e.g. using Registry Editor...

Can anybody help me?

Add a DefaultIcon key as a subkey of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*, and set it's default value to the path to the icon you want to use.
