webpage does not print properly
« on: July 27, 2005, 05:28:34 AM »
:-/ I use internet explorer and when I try to view web pages, it seems that more often than not I cannot view the whole page, I have to toggle the bar at the bottom of the screen to view the left and right sides of the page - but what really twists my frame is that when I try to print, the entire right-hand side of the page is cut off.  Can anyone help me fix this problem?  If it matters, I'm using Win XP home edition -
Thanks

Stop using Internet Explorer and start using Mozilla Firefox

You may also wish to do the following:

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all security zones to Default

And/or

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Advanced
6. Restore Defaults button.

Pamela L. Patnode.... Does this occurr on all the pages you view or only some ?  It may well be that the pages you are having issues with were designed to be viewed in a specific screen size ( resolution ) ..........For example if say your monitor was set to display say ....800 X 600 and the page you are viewing was designed to be best viewed at 1024 X 768 ........you would have to use the navigation bar to see the total width of the page .......
You might try increasing the resolution ( screen size ) and see if this resolves your issue.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

I agree with dl65 up there....

however...if that doesnt work, you might need to change the font type for your prints...or mess with your printing settings..

I guess it was the resolution.  When I changed it, I could even "see" the whole page instead of having to move the bar on the bottom of the screen back and forth.  Thanks again.
