BSOD unmountable boot volume dell inspiron Win 7

Just today I had my laptop on, everything was working fine, and then I started to load ms office 2007 onto it.  The installation went through to the end, but then when I clicked on ms office in the start menu, the computer turned off, and when it tried to reboot i got the BSOD :unmountable boot volume".  What happened here and can this be fixed

And now when I turn on the laptop, I hear some clicks from the hardrive, until it shuts down again

Crashed Hard Drive ... If its clicking its usually terminal failure requiring a new hard drive.
