    « on: November 29, 2012, 03:25:52 PM »
    Hi,
My internet explorer icon doesn't work in W-7
I used unhide and rebooted and still not working. This has worked for me before. If I could find
another IE icon maybe this would work.In the XP windows the icons I could find.
    Any ideas out there?

What happens if you go to START - RUN and type: iexplore.exe (then press ENTER)?

What you mean is that it opens Internet Explorer and you can see it in the taskbar, but when you click on the taskbar nothing happens, is that correct? If so, try right-clicking on the IE Taskbar item and choose "maximize". What happens?

Please go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Does that open?

If not, please boot to safe mode and open Internet Explorer there. Then size it to MAXIMUM and close it. Then reboot to normal mode and try IE.

IE won't open there Just a flash acrossed the screen and that's it.

I downloaded IE and that didn't help either.I just got rid of a trojan so I thought maybre I couldn't
use system restore. It did work just after the date of getting rid of trojan. Thanks for your input.

Glad you got it fixed. In the future, if you run into a problem not long after your system was infected, PLEASE mention that in your first post.
