I'm in the process of swapping some P3 slot 1 CPUs around, and would like to know if there's a way to remove the standard Intel fan/heatsink from a CPU-possibly even a commercial tool to compress the frilly post which holds the clip in place- or does one have to break the clamp? I'd like to preserve the clamps if possible, as they're gone from the local scene (except for eBay, etc). Also, is there a "proper" way to remove the fan *censored*'y from the heatsink with a minimum of force (to permit placing the clamp)?
Thanks for the help...
