    BOOTMGR IS MISSING

    I booted my Dell laptop, it says "BOOTMGR is missing, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to Restart. i have tried that with no success. I needed to repair the OS but my CD ROM is not working. i even tried to boot from the external hard disk but its not working, What shall i do, please help.

    If you have a external Optical drive that can connect to USB port, and can get the laptop to boot off that external optical drive such as a DVD-ROM, you should be able to install off of that. I used an external DVD-ROM drive to perform a repair install of Windows XP Home on a netbook which was lacking a CD or DVD ROM.
