I want to thank you guys so much! Alan and Computer_Command I will never forget what you guys did! I will make sure I go to activision and tell them that by updating your BIOS it could fix your problem.

I can now play Black Ops and other games that would have done the same, You guys are the best!

I almost cried when I was updating my BIOS, so scared it wouldn't work lol.

Once again thanky ou and I hope you guys have a good New Years!

I seriously doubt a BIOS flash is needed here to get a game running as it is just something the OP "read" on another site that made it work...and i think it's been overlooked here in this case...
What for example is the BSOD ? ?
Patio is one of our Mods.  A BIOS flash fixing a game is very unusual, if not unique.  We can all learn something from this.
PotatoMan: you have helped us learn something new.  It would be interesting to know what the BIOS could have to do with this.  If you ever hear back from Activision, just add to this thread.

A BIOS flash fixing a game is very unusual, if not unique.

Not really either of those. Just one example: certain Gigabyte (as is the present case) motherboards with AMD FX CPUs had issues with Valve games that are fixed by BIOS update. Leading edge games test hardware like no other software. It is quite common for things like (for example) CPU power stepping/throttling and general stability issues to be fixed by BIOS updates.

On the Activison forums it states that when the devs put the game out they found a bug with AMD CPU's and they were going to release a patch, some people found a way to get a round it. I'm sure Activision won't respond to me if I send them anything, but I will and then post it here. Thanks!
