Saving Outlook Files as .TXT
« on: October 05, 2005, 03:45:24 PM »
Our office likes to keep a record of emails as text in our job folders on the server for future reference.  However when I select save as and save it as text, any reference to any attachment is gone.  I don't want to keep the attachment, but just some sort of line that says that there was one, and what it was.  Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

I tried saving one of my e-mails. I couldn't save it as a txt file but I could save it anywhere on my computer I wanted to. It re-opened exactly like an e-mail. It shouldn't be much of problem to save them in your job folders on your server. I don't know if this helps.
