Flash Disk Cannot Be Mountted or Formatted
    « on: January 28, 2013, 04:18:22 PM »
whats wrong with my flash disk?
it cant be formatted or readed,
    see the attachment image,
if the windows says it doesnt connected properly
it connected properly, the flashdisk had a led light and when connected, it glows,
if the windows says it read only,
    its not read only,
i wonder if my flashdisk had damage on its firmware or hardware?

This problem is not uncommon on portable flash drives. It is often a result of improper physical removal techniques by the user. One should always only remove these devices via the "safely remove " option or when the computer has been completely shut down. There are free software programs available that offer to recover files from those devices. However my experience is that if a format of the device is not possible recover chances are poor to nil.Sorry, truenorth
