    pc does not detect full ram installed

    Installed 2gb ram. Computer XP recognizes only 1gb

    Does BIOS see it?
    Bad RAM?
    Not fully inserted?
    Mismatched?
    Try each stick by itself.

    What do you mean "you installed" 2GB? Did you replace the ram? Add to the ram? Exactly what did you do?

    How do you know what XP recognizes? Where are you looking?
