Computer shutting down randomly. No advance warning
    « on: February 19, 2013, 06:14:16 PM »
My computer has had issues in the past few weeks where it will randomly shut down without notice or warning. Sometimes the fades to black in the middle of activity, I hear the shutdown sound a second later and then the computer goes off. Rarely the screen shuts down like normal. All my running programs close one-by-one and then the shutting down screen appears. I've scanned the full system with my anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and have determined this is not the act of malicious software. I have not done any major hardware of software upgrades, have a secure internet connection, and do not have a webcam or any other hardware that can be exploited attached to the system. At the worst this happens three times a day.

What OS do you have? In Windows there is a thing called 'event viewer' that shows you a list of errors of conflicts hat have happened.
    This may help.
