I am trying to get students at school to start using their own accounts when logging into the computers. The computers are mainly running Windows XP with a smattering of Windows 7. All of the computers log into a Windows 2003 server. The network has standard accounts, "student" and "teacher" and these will print with no problems. The hitch comes when a student or teacher logs into their own account. The installed printer is not there.

The printers are installed on each computer for each room, we don't have a print server.

How can I get the default printer to show up for any account that logs into a classroom computer?

    Thanks

You would need to set "file and print sharing" on the individual accounts...

System Admin for school should be able to edit the ALL USERS profile of systems requiring everyone to access a printer and everyone who logs into the systems with ALL USERS setup to the printer will have their roaming profiles load, but also with the local profile preferences from ALL USERS inherrited locally at each computer that is set up this way.

Otherwise as patio stated you have to set up every user. If you have say 100+ users, its far easier to set up say 1 or 2 computers etc with ALL USERS setup for the printer as default or available for printing from options.
