You could always try a program to recover deleted files, depending on how much of this stuff was on the disk (if there was a lot, you might get a little back). Whether any stuff can be recovered depends on how the disk was formatted. If the space is marked as free (quick reformat), data can remain. If the space was overwritten, there is nothing you can do.
