delete e-mail - go back to main folder

In Outlook Express 6 I used to be able read an e-mail, and when delete it, I would be automatically back in the incoming post folder.
For some reason it now jumps to the next e-mail instead.
I've looked at every possible option in OutlExpr6, but can't find how to set it back like it was.

    Ludo..Which O/S are you using ?
    How long has it been acting this way ?

    ehm... I haven't got a clue what O/S stands for...

      O/S means operating system ...ie win 98 , win 2k or win XP
