Radeon 9250 PCI

I have the software for my new Radeon 9250 installed but when I plug Moniter cable (VGA) into the new card and start the computer it stays blakc for a while then my desktop background appears very small in the center with a thick black rim around it. Any help is appreciated.

Right click on the desktop and change the screen resolution maybe?

    Did you disable onboard video or remove drivers from previous video card?
