I recommend downloading this:

Included in the .iso (which can be opened using an unarchiving utility such as 7-Zip or WinRar), is a script to install the Boot CD onto a USB drive.

Once installed, you can boot from the USB drive and format the laptop's hard drive. This should clear the drive, allowing you to reinstall Windows.

I just downloaded UBC myself, and I cannot find the script that installs it to a flash drive.

The instructions, however, are located here:

    I followed the instructions given.
    - cmd
    - cd c:\ubcd-extracted\ubcd\tools\win32\ubcd2usb\
    - ubcd2usb c: j:

    C is the path i installed and extraced it J is the formated usb

    -Press enter and gives me:
    ---
    UBCD2USB:  Creating bootable UBCD memory stick ...
    UBCD2USB:  Making USB KEY bootable ...
    UBCD2USB:  Copying files to USB KEY ...
    Sharing violation
    <ERROR> Missing 'j:ubcd\tools\win32\ubcd2usb\ubcd2usb.cmd <script did not run successfully>
    ---
     Something I am doing wrong?

    Yeah, instead of ubcd2usb C: J:, it should be

    ubcd2usb c:\ubcd j:

      it gives me File not found - *

        Have you tried booting the windows 7 dvd in another computer?
