Do they force you to buy a PC swith Windows 8?

Can you still get Windows 7? Do they force everyone to take Windows 8?

Yes, you can.  But, of course, they are getting increasingly more difficult to find.  Don't expect to find them at retailers such as Best Buy, Staples, OfficeMax, etc., now.  Online sellers such as newegg.com are the best sources now to find some computers with Windows 7 still being sold.

My most recent PC was a Shuttle and I bought it without any OS at all. I separately purchased the retail edition of Windows 7 Professional and installed it myself. It is not compulsory to buy a PC with an OS installed.

Recently I saw a sales flyer with Dell computers with Windows 7 Professional  OS.  I was a bit surprised at that since most computers and laptops selling now I have noticed have Windows 8.
