Windows 7 Taskbar to Windows Vista Taskbar
    « on: May 31, 2013, 09:55:41 PM »
Do you miss the Windows Vista taskbar and want it back in Windows 7?
First, right click the Start button.
    In the menu click Properties.
Go to the Taskbar tab and check Use small icons.
    Click Apply and OK.
    Your done!

    No, I don't.

I had Vista for about 5 1/2 years but no longer have it since my laptop with Vista died.  But, I surmise you're primarily addressing taskbar icon size since you said "check Use small icons".  That, in my view, is a rather limited view of the taskbar.  Windows 7 taskbar has other features that the Vista taskbar simply does not have, such as jump lists and the ability to re-arrange icons by dragging with the mouse.

      OK, stop...
I need a mod to lock the thread so there is no "talk" about anything.

Do what it said in the main message then read:
If you have Home Premium or lower, follow Method 1 of:

Or if you have Professional or higher, follow Method 2.

Well, you've expanded the discussion now beyond your first post, which only mentioned icon size.

I guess some Windows 7 users may be interested in disabling jump lists.  But, I think most Win 7 users like jump lists.  I think it's a great feature.

Regarding the second link you posted, it covers a different topic than my point about rearranging taskbar icons.  Your link explains how to disable moving the taskbar to a different location, which typically means to top, right side, or left side, instead of at bottom.  My comment in my previous post was on a different point; I was commenting about being able to rearrange taskbar icons/buttons within, or on, the taskbar; this would apply wherever the taskbar is located.

"Like almost 2 weeks" is a different way of saying "13 days", I suppose.
