    Windows Or My Drivers
    « on: June 20, 2013, 08:34:20 AM »
I recently built my own computer and installed windows 7, my computer worked for a few days then suddenly stopped. At the time I knew it was either my drivers or the DVI to HDMI cable I was using. So I reinstalled windows and my drivers after formatting my hard drive in hope that this would solve the issue which it did not. So after this I thought I would buy a HDMI to mini HDMI cable in hope that this solution would work, and yet again it did not. Any Ideas?

    Additional info:
Graphics card had one mini HDMI alongside 2 DVI
TV has One HDMI and A scart

    Accessless

Welcome to the computer hope forums.

We may need a few things clarifying before we can help though. You say that your computer just stopped working one day but you were able to re-install Windows. Are you only experiencing problems when using the TV as a display?

Assuming for the moment that you have a desktop monitor that is working, does the TV appear in the screen resolution options (TV must be connected to pc)? Does the POST or BIOS splash image display on the TV when you boot up the computer.
[POST = Power On Self Test, in other words all those white words on a black background you see when you hit the on button]
[BIOS splash image is the usually the first thing the computer displays, usually represents the branding of the motherboard or PC]

my computer worked for a few days then suddenly stopped.
You'll have to be more descriptive than that, I fear.
