      Enter the BIOS by tapping the key indicated on startup - usually Delete.  Then you will have an option to load defaults.  If in doubt, check your motherboard manual.
      Also, if your screen stays on in the BIOS, then that will rule out the monitor as the problem.  I think it's more likely to be something with your PC though.
