I play slot tournaments at an online casino. I wanted more spins in the 3 minutes allowed as I see other players getting more spins than me, so I forked out £800 for an Alienware laptop as my inspiron 1721 only has a windows experience score of 3 - the Alienware has 5.9.
You get about 40 spins in three minutes but it varies because of 'bonus rounds'. On normal spins I get about 40 spins on the Dell and only 39 on the Alienware which surely should not be so. But the biggest difference is on the bonus rounds - it takes about 45 seconds to play the bonus round on the Alienware , but only 37 seconds on the Dell. As soon as the round starts the Dell loads the window in about one second and starts playing it , but the Alienware takes about 8 seconds to load it. ( I can only imagine it is something to do with cookies holding the info about the bonus round ?)
I upgraded my virgin 20mb to 60mb and got the superhub - I have tried the Alienware on wireless and have it hardwired at the moment- speedtest shows it is getting 60mb speed. The Dell is on wireless , and as I have not updated the wireless card is still showing 20mb on the speedtest -- but it is still faster ! The Dell has vista and firefox as the browser, the alienware has chrome and windows 7 -- but I do not know if the browser has any impact (would like to know) - because although the casino was downloaded through the browser it now has its own icon which I click on , so I am not opening it thru the browser
Anyone got any suggestions?
