What Application. What Error?

The image you provided is an error example for a very specific piece of software. If you are getting "unhandled Exception" dialogs, they are typically a result of bugs or problems with the program itself.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

To start with, assume the program is defective or damaged. Uninstall and install again. Make sure you have the correct version for your OS.
