Laptop Starts with White screen

Hello All,

I have a Toshiba Equium A200 laptop running Vista.

When the laptop starts the screen is fully white so i plugged it into external screen but nothing comes up but
if i restart laptop in safemode with external screen there is no problems at all.

Any suggestions on what might be the error?

If the symptoms are that the screen shows post info, logo or details and then goes solid white when windows is booted then I'd be looking at display driver issue if the display is fine in safe mode.

To get the external display port to work when the system is running with White Screen you may need to perform a function key to enable the external video pressing Fn key and another key that is used for enabling the external display.
