keybored remapping

hey guys recently my escape key and the fkeys on my key bored have stopped working ive tried to remap the tghe escape key to caps lock with sharpkeys ( it has not worked) I have also tried to use the micsoft keybored layout creator to do this but tha does not allow me to remap the escape key . yeahh i know the simple answer is get a new keybored but right now i cant affored a new keybored so hence why ive tried remapping. would any one be able to help me manualy remap the escape key  to a key i really use on the keybored using regedit

Boot the PC with the keyboard unplugged a few times...it may come back to it's senses.

P.S....i'd remove all re-mapping before doing this test...just sayin.

For reference only:

Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator

This is normally used by people who write other languages. It may be used by writers who need special symbols available quickly. Otherwise, those who need symbols once in awhile  might use the on screen keyboard and not mess with key layout.
