Screen View
« on: October 18, 2005, 04:49:40 PM »
One of my kids got on the computer. When he finished all the icons on the desktop and toolbar were small. When I opened the web browser the web page does not cover the whole screen, part of it is gray. Please help. I couldn't even get it corrected through system restore.

ltsmaw........  Lets start by telling us which operating system your using ? Did you question the child as to what they did ?   Are you able to drag to web page out to full size?

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

Right click on your Desktop>Properties>Settings & reset your resolution.
        Start with 800 x 600 & go from there.

Right-click on your start button and choose Properties, then click on Customize...

MY OPERATING SYSTEM IS WINDOWS ME. I TRIED THE RESOLUTION THING. I TRIED RUNNING VIRUS PROTECTION. I ENLARGED TE SCREEN TO FULL VIEW BUT THE CONTENT STILL DOESN'T COVER THE PAGE. MY "3" CANT TELL ME WHAT HE DID. I'M AT A LOST.

            What did you try?
The smaller the number the larger the screen image.
Did you hit apply to save the changes?

It sounds like resolution to me Vibhor.

You're right patio, being a kid he's probably hit the buttons on the front of the monitor.  :D
The poster looks like a hit & run anyway.  >:(

I tried that and almost made it worst. I give up.
I wish I could show you a picture of how it looks.
              Thanks anyway.

Want to back it up and reinstall Windows? There's a fix, but it will take a little time. If it worked before, it can again......
