    Cant store desktop items
    « on: November 26, 2013, 07:19:48 PM »
    Hey,
Im running windows 7 and recently i haven't been able to move items on the desktop into folders on the desktop. I can still move stuff around, i just cant store things into folders. I have been getting a message about missing a specific .dll file but i did a system restore and now i get another message when i try to open up a few different things. still cant move things on the desktop into folders.

I could really use some help, just don't want to re-install windows. will if i have to though.

The new message is the procedure entry point @eleaseSRWLockShared could not be located in the dynamic library KERNEL32.dll

This message is because there are still missing system files. A repair Installation of the OS is needed. This is not a re-install in which you will lose all data. Windows 7 Repair Install will keep all personal data but will correct for system files missing or corrupt.
