MS Outlook 2010 gives error message when saving attachment

Please can someone help me resolve this problem: Microsoft Outlook gives this error message when saving attachments "The file name is not valid"

One attachment or all? Name of attachment? Location to which you are trying to save it or them? You need to provide as much information as possible for us to assist you.

All attachments. From picture file, word file to excel. All gives the same error message. The location too is the same.
It doesnt matter where you are saving it.

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly?

2) Try this: right-click on the attachment, choose "save as", select a location, save. What happens?

I got it resolved. The problem was from multiple installation of Office. I was having Office 2010 and installed 2013 in addition.

Thanks for the update and I'm happy you got it resolved. In the future, when posting a problem please provide ALL information - such as the fact you recently installed an additional instance of Office.
