Is there or will we ever see a Mobile optimized version of the forums? I post a lot from my phone and it is nice to have a mobile version of the site.

If Nathan sees this - There is a plugin for TapaTalk for SMF forums - http://tapatalk.com/activate_tapatalk.php?plugin=smf - This may be worth setting up.

I dont want to have to deal with TappaTalk. Just want the forums to be mobile friendly. Alot of the tech forums I post on have mobile versions. TechGuy.Org and Dostips.com.

The one we implemented on DosTips.com was free but that is for phpBB.
This looks to be a good option for SMF but is $20.

Did a little more research on SMF. We do have wap, wap2 and imode enabled for the forums but those are not real mobile friendly for todays phones. They look like they were meant for old Palm and Windows phones. wap2 seems to be the best option but doesnt come close to what other forums have.

I was just coming here to post that - I've posted here on Android using the WAP version before, it's nice and light (on data) but therefore also light on features.  I'm not sure if a mobile optimised version or theme is being looked into or not, I suspect the majority of users here will be posting from computers rather than tablets or phones.  By all means feel free to suggest it to the admin via PM, just in case he doesn't see this thread - it may already be on his list.

Good to know it is on the list of suggestions. I had suggested it on DosTips.com and the site admin didnt even know there was a mobile theme available and two days later he had it installed and he loves it.

We have had one on TechGuy for a few years and then one day Mike shut it off because he thought nobody was using it. That was until a bunch of us went crazy the next day. It was turned back on shortly after.
