    XP Problem with Windows XP Starting

    Hi...

    My problem is....when I turn my computer on.....I

    1. See the Manufacturer's Screen
    2. The screen goes Blank.

    Note: I can NOT reach the System Recovery, because the screen goes blank.

    I have spent a lot of time going through the settings,so I'm not sure if I really messed anything up. I just hate giving up on this machine.It's 13 years old.
    Compaq Presario S3000NX...If anyone can help me at all,be happy to hear from you. Thanks. Carl

    A small thing to check is the CMOS battery. Just replace it.
