Screen resizes as apllications open
« on: October 23, 2005, 07:28:39 PM »
When I open any new applications in Windows XP, the screen will automatically and inconviently resize. (i.e. The boarder around the screen will shrink, and continue to do so with every new apllication i open.)
Any help would be much appriciated.

Specs:
CPU. Intel celeron 2.6GHz
Video. SIS 661FX IGP
OS    Windows XP SP2

Chris:

Try this:

1. Right-click on an icon
2. Choose Properties from the context menu
3. In the shortcut's properties dialog box, select the Shortcut tab
4. In the Run list box, click the down arrow and choose Maximized from the list
5. Click Apply and OK

From now on, the program will open maximized (i.e., full-screen sized).

Hope that answers your question.

BTW: if you are looking for a program that will resize any window to just the size you want every time with just two clicks of the mouse, i highly recommend the free program at this site called Sizer:
