Hotmail with Outlook

I have a standard hotmail acct. and trying to get email thru Outlook.  Heard that I may have to upgrade my hotmail acct.
to do this.  Currently showing: Inbox synchronizing headers-
0x800cccf6.  Can I connect to Outlook without the upgrade
and howso? Thanks!

Anyone can cinnect through Outlook without upgrading hotmail account. When you type in your name in the begging you did select hotmail as server pop. Or do you have to upgrade your outlook express?

    I don't know why but recently it was giving me some problem also.
