do you need firewall and antivirus for windows 8.1?

got windows 8.1 and currently just use AVG, should I get a firewall too? (which free version do you recommend?)

what else do I need? DO i need an anti spyware program too?

Windows 8 comes with its own Anti-virus and anti-spyware program called Windows Defender. If you're going to use AVG you will need to disable Windows Defender. You can use the Windows Firewall which should already be on your computer. You would be better off using Windows Defender.
