Loading Java VM

I'm trying to download Java Virtual Machine from the website, and it will not load right. It loads and then tells me its not there...to verify. I do this and it starts all over again... a nested loop
I have windows xp with sp2. I hope there is secret to it. Its getting really frustrating

it didn't work...I even used Mozilla to try it What is up with this? I'm thinking of copying it to a disk and trying to load it that way...what do you think?
