wireless connection wobbly or is it just the computer

I've connected to my wireless internet at the house, its from at&t, and my computer says that it is connected and I pull up the home page but whenever I type anything it the internet does nothing. I'm not good at this stuff and have no clue what to try and do.

Check the signal strength of your connection, It may also be possible that the security key you entered while creating the connection was incorrect.

Verify that there are no yellow triangles with a ! mark over your connection icon.
