You provided almost no details. There was nothing to work with.

Where did these "original files" come from? How are you copying them? Are you seeing shortcuts directly in Windows Explorer, or only when you copy them?

If you want to copy them, you can select the files you want and then use the right-mouse button to drag them to the destination. When tou let go of the button you will be given a menu that let's you choose what to do (move here, copy here, create shortcut(s) here) of which you would want to second.

If the Alt key is stuck on the keyboard it could cause this to happen since Alt+Drag creates shortcuts rather than copying.

look, i copy folder from my friend's computers that contain photos, when i inert the USB to my PC i see them like shortcuts.
Then i tried to see if it was the same problem on my other friend's laptop i copied the same folder again on the same USB and it doesn't appear as shortcut.

My best guess here is that in the first case the folder is actually full of shortcuts to the files and not the files themselves, which is what you end up copying.

In my opinion, maybe you deleted some programs carelessly or your Anti-virus software deleted them automatically.
