JPEG. saving problems

I try to save JPEG. pics. off of the web and save it to my computer but it only saves it as ART. or BMP.   When I go to work and save the same pic. it saves it as JPEG. on that computer.  If anyone can help, your assistance is welcome.  Thank you.
