    Microsoft error code 80073712

    Unable to download windows updates. Keeps freezing at 11% and shows error code 80073712. Anyone out there having the same problem and what's the cure? ??? ??? ???

    Lots of other posts with cries for help. One person took a Vista thread and tried to apply Vista fix to 7 unsuccessfully etc. Do you have any restore points you can roll back to and then try the update again to see if you can roll back to a time when it wasnt corrupt?

    Do you have enough free space on your hard drive to install the update?
