Two operating systems-how to get rid of one
« on: November 01, 2005, 01:34:17 AM »
I have two operating systems on my computer. I have the instructions from Microsoft to delete one but I am at a stand still because I can only get so far and my computer doesn't have the options I am told to select. See below:
1. right click on MY COMPUTER
2. Properties
3. Advanced
4. Startup and Recovery (This is as far as I get)
5. SETTINGS (I don't have this option)
6. System Startup
7. Edit
Please help!   :'(

Click on the link below and scroll down to the BOOTINIEDIT bootdisk.

If you have a floppy drive you can edit the boot.ini file from there.

I saved the file: BOOTINIEDIT bootdisk to a floppy disk. Can you tell me what to do next?

Save the file to a hard-drive and double-click on it with a floppy in the A: drive. When the bootdisk has been made re-boot the computer and follow the on-screen instructions.
