    Disabled Service causing Major Problems
    « on: September 18, 2014, 07:33:10 PM »
Hi, just been sitting here for 2 hours trying to figure out what to do. What appears to have happened is that I aquired a *minor* virus of sorts that wouldnt let me start Malwarebytes( and Chameleon didn't work ). So I decided to take matters into my own hands and go through and find suspicious programs, processes, and services. The last part is where the problem lies. It appears I have dissabled some important services and for some reason Windows didn't feel like telling me they were important. My Main Problems is that any time I "run as Administrator" it crashes the application that I was currently in. As you can imagine this is a paradox considering that to start the service again I'm fairly sure I need to run as Administrator. I believe one of the important services I disabled was AppIdSVC. I am also getting a control message problem when starting stuff like task manager. Any help is appreciated ( -_- yes, I have rebooted the freaking computer don't you dare ask me to do that. )  Anyways here is the list of services:

I tried to Start the AppIdSVC in power shell but got this error:

Have you tried booting into safe mode and reenabling the services from there?

The OP has not been back yet.

Whenever a Windows system becomes unusable,  one can use a "Rescue Disk" that has bean prepared ahead of time.  Or else get one from another source. Here is a link to CH posts  es about 'Rescue Disks"

A perfect example of the end result when one decides to start "tweaking" services to correct Win issues...

And thats not directed at you Jack...just an observation cause we've seen it before.
