 When I attempt to open a file which has been E-mailed to me, a box appears stating that the file is locked for editing by 'another user'. No one else that I know has this problem, can you help me?

Are you supposed to be able to edit it? The sender can control this,usually. It may just be a question of file attributes.

I am not to edit the file, it is merely a document that i am to read. The file is sent to 8 other people, none of which have the same problem that I do.   Thanks for your reply to my Question.
