    W8 SIDEBAR
    « on: February 23, 2015, 08:22:43 AM »
Hiya Fellas'!      I have a serious problem here.   From some download or other, I have a program named "W8 Sidebar".   I deliberately let it install because it sold itself as a handy desktop gadget, giving a lot of information at a glance from a small desktop menu!       It does this, but it causes other problems that are very irksome !

I have tried to uninstall it, but it does not show any installation file anywhere?   None of my uninstallers can find it???

I have found the source in my 'Regedit' but the cursed program will not allow a deletion from there!

I know there is software somewhere designed to remove unwanted taskbars and such .... can you guys help me please???  :-[ :-[

Have you tried running it's uninstaller via Add or Remove programs?
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

If it is the one patio linked, it has no installer or uninstaller, and doesn't appear to automatically set itself to boot with the system in any way. You just close it and it's gone, and you can optionally delete the executable, which in your case I'd suspect of being in your downloads folder.

It may also be in the Startup folder as well...
