DVD/sound interruption
« on: November 09, 2005, 12:33:36 PM »
Im running windows xp media with a new 16x DvD Dual Layer.  Problem is every time I Play a dvd or cd, when the activity light comes on, it interrupts the sound and sometimes chops the video.  (and i dont think its the green light that is the problem).  I have an Abit Kv8 Pro motherboard and an 62 bit  1.8Ghz processor with 1Gb of mem.  Got an answer?

Jayson:

Check the Device Manager for resource conflicts between the DVD drive and the sound card.  My guess is you just added one or the other to the system.

Let me know if you need help checking for and resolving resource conflicts.

Best regards,
