    laptop battery not charging
    « on: March 17, 2015, 12:33:16 AM »
    Hey everyone,
I have a problem with my Laptop (HP Compaq 510)
Since yesterday evening my laptop is suddenly not charging. The orange color light did not light up and the laptop did not show the charging symbol. Now the battery is dead and I obviously can't use the laptop. I removed the battery and tried starting it but that does not work either. There can't be a problem with the charger because it was working perfectly until yesterday evening. The battery however is somewhat old and its battery life was continually decreasing (it recently could run only for 30-45 mins after a full charge ).
What could be the problem? should I replace the battery or could there be some other problem for the laptop to suddenly stop charging??
    Thank you for your help.
    Akeed.

When batteries get that bad it needs replaced...the laptop should run on A/C however with the battery reemoved.
