can i totaly disable hard drive c

 can i totaly disable my local disc c drive and just use my new hard drive d?
if so can any one tell me how. have already coppied every thing off of c and put it on to d.
can any one help??

    Have you installed an os on the new hard drive? If you want to disable it, why dont you just take it out of the computer and put the new hard drive on the primary.

    It depends what OS you have, if you have xp or 2000 right click my computer, goto manage, Device manager, Disk Drives, Right click on your drive you want to disable and the left click disable.

    You can also disable it in the bios.
