my laptop wont boot

my laptop is using windows 8.1.my problem is when i boot up ma laptop,it displays on screen the following:

                 EFI Shell version 2.31[5.9]                          Current running mode 1.1.2                         map:cannot find a required map name
.   Press ESC in 1 seconds to skip startup.nsh,any other key to continue
Shell>

So that is my problem and I have tried "exit" but nothing happened

Try resetting bios to default settings and reboot - see if that helps.
