Printer driver

I need help. My printer won't install it says driver (hpontk07.dll) could not be loaded. The driver or the INF file may be damaged.

Please help me I rely on my printer heavily.

    Operating system?
    Printer make (assuming HP?)?
    Type of connection USB or parallel?

    Are you installing the software first and then connecting it up or vice versa?

    Try getting the most upto date driver from the manufacturer website.

    As above,

    You should not have the printer connected when you install the software.  Unplug the USB cable before you begin.

    If you can now complete the install (using the HP setup disk), then plug in the USB cable and turn on the printer.

    If it still hangs-up, restart your PC and retry.

    This is a fairly common problem for HP.  The above is the normal solution.
