no software for sound card
« on: November 14, 2005, 03:40:27 PM »
My sister got drunk and deleted the software for her sound card...she bought the computer from a friend 3,000 miles away, and doesn't have the software for it.  We have no sound for anything at all.  When we restart, windows says there's some new hardware found, but since there is no software for the sound card, there's nothing we can do!  Is there any way we can get sound back to this thing?  A website that would have the proper software if we knew the brand?  ANY suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

Download the driver from http://members.driverguide.com/index.php

Download Everest Home Edition (free at www.lavalys.com) to identify the card. Then you just go get the drivers from the manufacturer's web site.
